Women’s Day Special – Importance of Women’s Day

A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to
find that voice can be remarkable difficult”*– Melinda Gates

March 8 is observed as International Women’s Day which was first celebrated
by Socialist Party of America on February 28, 1909 which later on in 1910
declared as a ‘special Women’s Day’ to be organized annually. The aim to
celebrate Women’s Day was to acknowledge women’s political, social,
economic and cultural achievement in all the fields. As the day is
celebrated internationally, women from all the fields come together to
bring out their importance.

It has now been over a century since we are celebrating this very day, but
over the years, there has been continuous debate amongst women about
inequality and oppression demanding for change.

Some countries have public holidays on Women’s Day, while some continue
with protesting and few other countries take this day as a celebration of
womanhood. In India we celebrate womanhood by giving a little more
importance to women around us and showing them love. This year in 2021,
International Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide with the theme ‘Choose To
Challenge’ and a common hashtag is surfacing on social media

ChooseToChallenge and #IWD2021.

Being a successful businessman, Vikas Modi always promoted women in his
various business ventures by giving them valuable positions and keeping
them first in every field. According to him ‘women are born with brilliant
minds, which can conquer the world,’ hence he believes in their potential
and strength that helps the business to grow and expand in the right path.
Apart from this, Vikas Modi has a large team of women employees who excel
in every field.
