MP Mohan Delkar Committed Suicide in Mumbai, Left 15-Page Suicide Note

The nation came under shock when the news of death of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha member Mohan Delkar broke. He was found dead in a hotel room in Mumbai on Monday. The 58 year old Delkar was found hanging froma a ceiling fan in his hotel room in the Marine Drive region of south Mumbai. Police officials also found a 15-page suicide note written in Gujarati in the room.

A team of Mumbai Police’s senior officials and forensic officials reached the place as soon as they were informed about the incident. After conducting postmortem at the government-run JJ Hospital, the dead body has been now handed over to his family members, who reached Mumbai after hearing of his suicide.

An Assistant Commissioner of police from the Colaba division has taken over the charge of this suicide and he is conducting an inquiry into the case. The suicide note has names some people but the police is keeping is silence and have not revealed details yet.

He was a seven-term Lok Sabha member from the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Earlier Delkar was congress President in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, however he left the party in 2019 and was elected independent. In 2019 he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha and was also a member of the Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice and a member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs of the Lower House.

This is shocking news for his party but opposition and general public are keeping their eye on his 15-pages long suicide note as it will definitely give some shocking revelation about its party and others.
